In accordance with its Social Investment Programme in Education, which aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the employability of young Nigerians, the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/SPDC/TEPNG/AGIP Joint Venture) invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerian Students admitted into Full Time academic studies in the 2021/2022 session, to apply for its University Scholarship Scheme.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR SHELL PETROLEUM SCHOLARSHIP?
The National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award are the two categories for this merit-based scholar ship.
- All Nigerians are eligible for the National Merit Award (NM).
- Nigerians with ties to the operational areas of the SPDC in the states of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers are eligible for the Areas of Operation Merit Award.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS
- Must be Federal Republic of Nigeria citizens
- Must be enrolled full-time as undergraduates in a Nigerian university that has been granted accreditation
- Must be in Level 200 or have documentation proving enrollment in an undergraduate program for the academic year 2021–2022.
- Must not have received a scholarship from a national or international organization working in the oil and gas industry.

- Only shortlisted candidates for the Shell petroleum Scholarship will be invited for the proctored computer-based test
- Only successful candidates at each selection stage will be contacted

- Applicants for the Operational Area Awards are required to provide scanned copies of letters of identification, (which must be duly stamped and signed) by:
- The Paramount Ruler of the Community; and The Chairman of the Community Development Committee or Community Executive Council (CDC or CEC)
- The letters should be addressed to: The Manager, Social Performance, The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Shell), Shell Industrial Area, Port Harcourt, Rivers-State.
