This summer school in South Africa is a fascinating opportunity to learn about the political, social and economic forces that shaped 20th Century South African politics, including apartheid, with your peers from around the Commonwealth.

About ACU Summer School 2023 in South Africa

The program is hosted by Stellenbosch University in South Africa from 2  to 10 July 2023, and this is the first time the programme will take place in a winter climate. So what are you waiting for? Join in South Africa’s journey to reconcile lectures, discussions and group project work over the course of a week.

During summer school, you will get to hear from academic experts who will bring the country’s complex history to life and help you to shape your own perspective. You will have the opportunity to embark on a field trip to Robben Island prison, where Nelson Mandela and other anti-apartheid campaigners were jailed.

Additionally, you will connect with new friends from countries across the Commonwealth while exploring historically significant events in an open, welcoming, intercultural environment. About Stellenbosch University

Eligibility for ACU Summer School 2023 in South Africa

  • The summer school is open to final-year undergraduate students, masters’ students and PhD students at ACU member universities
  • All Undergraduate & Graduate applicants are eligible for this Fully Funded Summer Program in Africa.
  • There is No IELTS Requirement and No Nationality restriction requirement.
  • Students with any experience degree are eligible for this Summer School Program.
  • The ACU program is for those who have not travelled to another country yet.
  • Any Students who have previously attended the ACU Program are not eligible.
